Tower Road in Delaware is an exposed sandbar break with reasonably consistent surf that can work year-round. It performs best when an east-northeast swell combines with offshore winds from the west-southwest, generating a mix of wave types fueled by both groundswells and windswells. While it doesn't get overly crowded, it can see some traffic when conditions line up. Surf is generally reliable across a range of tides, but surfers should be cautious of rip currents and undertow, which are known hazards at this break. The most consistent clean waves typically arrive in summer, with September offering the best conditions.
