πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Punta Burica is an exposed reef break in Golfo Dulce that offers pretty consistent left and right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a southwest groundswell with offshore winds from the northeast. The break works best around low tide when the tide is rising. The spot is unlikely to be crowded, even when the surf is on, but surfers should be aware of rocks, jellyfish, and sea-lice. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in January.
