Potrero Grande (Ollie’s Point) in Guanacaste is an exposed point/rivermouth break with consistent surf, working best on southwest groundswells and northeast offshore winds. The break can get busy when the swell is up, and hazards include rocks, sharks, sea crocodiles, sea-lice, and isolation. The most reliable clean surf is during Summer, especially in July.
