Playa Hermosa (Osa Peninsula) is an exposed beach break that produces solid, consistent surf when conditions align. It works best with offshore winds from the east and strong groundswells from the south to southwest. The most favorable conditions occur when a southwest swell combines with clean offshore east winds. The break offers both left and right-hand peaks and can draw a modest lineup on good days. Surfers should watch for strong rips, shifting sandbars, and occasional shorebreak power.
