πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Playa del Coco is an exposed beach break that can deliver approachable waves when swell is present. It works best with offshore winds from the east to northeast and picks up groundswells from the south to southwest. The most favorable conditions occur when a moderate southwest swell combines with clean offshore east winds. The break offers both left and right-hand waves and rarely draws large crowds, even on better days. Surfers should be cautious of rips and shifting sandbars.
