Nosara is an exposed beach break in Guanacaste that offers reliable surf year-round. It works best with offshore winds from the north-northeast and groundswells from the west-northwest. The most favorable conditions occur when a west-northwest swell combines with offshore winds from the north-northeast. The beach provides both left and right-hand waves, and the surf quality remains consistent across all tide stages. It is usually uncrowded, even when the waves are good. The best time for consistent, clean waves is during the winter months, particularly in January.
