La Esquina del Mar is a sheltered left-hand river break in Golfo Dulce that only works occasionally. The most favorable conditions are a southwest groundswell with offshore winds from the east. The break works best around high tide when the tide is rising. The spot is sometimes crowded, and surfers should be aware of rocks. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in July.
