📍 Local Knowledge

Cocaine Point is a fairly exposed reef break in Limon that only works occasionally, favoring a right-hand reef break. The waves are generally heavy and break over a coral reef bottom. The most favorable conditions are a North or Northeast swell combined with offshore winds from the Southwest (SW) or Southeast (SE). The break is not very consistent but can get crowded when it is working, primarily with locals. It is generally suited for intermediate to advanced surfers. The best time for consistent, clean waves is during the seasonal swell windows, typically in the Caribbean's winter months.
