πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Chacarita or Playa Chacarita is a reasonably exposed beach break in Golfo de Nicoya that only works occasionally with no set seasonal pattern, offering both left and right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a south-southwest groundswell with offshore winds from the north-northeast. The break works best around high tide. The spot is rarely crowded, but surfers should be aware of rips and pollution. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in July.
