Boca Damas is an exposed reef break that offers punchy, hollow surf when the swell is strong. It works best with offshore winds from the east and solid groundswells from the southwest. The most favorable conditions occur when a southwest swell combines with clean offshore east winds. The break provides both left and right-hand barrels and is best suited for experienced surfers. Surfers should watch for sharp reef, fast takeoffs, and strong rips.
