Poor conditions right now. Tiny waves under 1ft with quality 9s ground swell but strong 15kt winds making it choppy Note: winds from NW would be better. Might want to wait for better conditions.

📍 Local Knowledge

Playa de Premia in Catalunia is a sheltered beach break that offers reasonably consistent surf, with winter providing the best conditions of the year. The best sessions occur when an east windswell—as the fetch is too short for groundswells to develop—combines with an offshore wind direction from the northwest, though the waves can remain manageable even in light onshore winds. The beach break provides both left and right-hand waves that are surfable at all stages of the tide. While it can sometimes get crowded when the conditions are right, surfers should remain cautious of the strong rips that are common at this location.
