📍 Local Knowledge

Nova Mar Bella in Catalunia is an exposed breakwater break that offers fairly consistent surf, although the summer months tend to be mostly flat. The best conditions occur when a south windswell—as groundswells are unknown at this location—combines with an offshore wind direction from the northwest. The spot offers some shelter from southwest winds and provides both left and right-hand waves that are surfable at all stages of the tide. While it can sometimes get crowded, surfers should remain cautious of hazards including rips and rocks near the breakwater.
