Latigo in Catalunia is an exposed beach break with unreliable waves that often remains flat during the summer months. The best conditions occur when a south windswell—as groundswells are unknown at this location—combines with an offshore wind direction from the north. The beach break produces both left and right-handers and is surfable at all stages of the tide. While it is unlikely to be overly crowded on most days, crowds can occasionally reach hazardous levels when the surf is up.
