Aiguadolc in Catalunia is an exposed beach break characterized by unreliable waves, with the summer months frequently remaining flat. The best conditions occur when an east-southeast windswell—which is far more common at this location than groundswell—combines with an offshore wind direction from the north. The break offers some shelter from west winds and specifically favors left-handers, providing surfable conditions at all stages of the tide. While it can sometimes get crowded when the waves are working, surfers should remain cautious of rocks, which pose a significant hazard.
