Poor conditions right now. Tiny waves under 1ft with quality 9s ground swell but strong 15kt winds making it choppy Note: winds from E would be better. Might want to wait for better conditions.

πŸ“ Local Knowledge

El Astillero is an exposed beach break in Nicaragua that offers powerful, consistent surf when the swell pulses. It works best with offshore winds from the east and strong groundswells from the south-southwest. The most favorable conditions occur when a south-southwest swell blends with light offshore east winds. The break delivers both left and right-hand waves and can attract good crowds during solid swells. Surfers should watch out for strong rips and shifting sandbars. The best time for consistent, clean surf is during the Pacific swell season, especially from May through September.
