📍 Local Knowledge

Playa de Sardinero in Cantabria is a very sheltered beach break that offers fairly consistent surf, with autumn and winter being the favored seasons. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves from an equal measure of local windswells and distant groundswells; while it is surfable at all stages of the tide and offers some shelter from west winds, visitors should be mindful that it is often crowded. The best conditions occur when a North swell combines with Southwest offshore winds, with November being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
