📍 Local Knowledge

Playa de Galizano in Cantabria is a fairly exposed beach, reef, and point break that offers dependable surf and can work at any time of the year. This spot provides both left and right-hand beach waves, along with a right-hand reef break, fueled by an equal measure of windswells and groundswells; while it is best surfed around low tide, visitors should be prepared for it to be often crowded. The best conditions occur when a Northwest swell combines with Southeast offshore winds, with December being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
