📍 Local Knowledge

Playa de Berria in Cantabria is a quite exposed beach break that offers reliable surf, though the summer months tend to be mostly flat. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves from an equal measure of windswells and groundswells; while the quality of the surf remains consistent across all tidal stages and it can even handle an onshore breeze, visitors should be mindful that it is likely to be crowded when the waves are working. The best conditions occur when a North-northwest swell combines with South offshore winds, with November being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
