Punta Usaje (Lanzarote) is a sheltered reef and point break featuring both a left-hand reef break and a left-hand point break that provides quite reliable surf, though summer tends to be mostly flat. The spot handles a mix of groundswells and windswells, reaching peak performance during spring—most notably in April—when a north swell angle combines with offshore winds blowing from the northwest. When the surf is up, lineups are likely to draw crowds, requiring careful navigation to handle both the crowd factor and the local rock hazards.
