Ghost Town (Lanzarote) is an exposed reef break that delivers consistent surf, though the summer months tend to be mostly flat. The spot is equally receptive to groundswells and windswells, reaching peak performance around a low tide window when a north northwest swell direction aligns with offshore winds blowing from the south. While winter is generally noted as the best season for clean, rideable waves, the month of October historically offers the most optimal windows. Because the reef is shallow, submerged rocks present a critical localized hazard for forecasters and surfers to track.
