📍 Local Knowledge

Windansea in San Diego County is an exposed reef break with reasonably consistent surf, working best with southwest groundswells and offshore winds from the east. Summer offers the optimal conditions, though the most reliable clean waves are typically found in winter, particularly in November. The break features a right-hand reef, with a left reef available as well. Windansea offers good surf at all tide stages but is often crowded when it's working. Surfers should be cautious of rocks and localism.
