📍 Local Knowledge

The Lagoons in Humboldt County is an exposed beach break with fairly consistent surf. It works best with groundswells from the southwest and offshore winds from the east. The break offers both left and right-hand waves, with optimal conditions typically around low tide. The spot tends to be relatively uncrowded, even on good days. Surfers should be cautious of rip currents. The most consistent clean waves are usually found in winter, especially during January.
