It performs best with offshore winds from the east and favors distant groundswells coming from the southwest. The break offers both left and right-hand waves, with peak conditions around high tide as it rises. This spot can get crowded when surf is good, and surfers should watch for rips, rocks, and sharks. Ideal surfing conditions occur when a southwest swell aligns with east offshore winds, with the most consistent clean waves typically seen in winter, particularly in February.
