📍 Local Knowledge
Razorblades in Santa Barbara is a quite exposed beach and reef break that sees fairly consistent surf year-round, with the best conditions occurring when a Southwest swell combines with offshore winds from the north-northeast. The spot handles a mix of groundswells and windswells, and favors a southwest swell angle. Autumn, particularly February, offers the most consistent clean, rideable waves. Despite its quality, Razorblades remains relatively uncrowded, even on good days. Surfers should be mindful of hazards including strong rips, submerged rocks, localism, private property access, and sharks.
