Pleasure Point–Insides in Santa Cruz is a fairly exposed right-hand reef break with consistent surf year-round, performing best during summer, especially in June. Optimal conditions occur when a south-southwest swell combines with offshore winds from the northwest. The spot thrives on clean groundswells and works best around a rising low tide. It can get crowded when firing, and surfers should be cautious of rocks, rip currents, and sharks.
