Offshore winds from the northeast cleanse clean northwest and west-northwest swells, producing both left and right waves along the jetty and adjacent sandbars, adding variety to the lineup. The spot works across most tide stages—mid to high tide usually offering the best shape—and remains relatively uncrowded due to multiple peaks. Surfers should watch out for submerged rocks, strong rip currents, and boat traffic near the piers. The most consistent clean waves occur during winter—especially January and February.
