πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Little River State Beach in Humboldt County is a reasonably exposed beach break with inconsistent surf and no distinct seasonal pattern. It works best on groundswells from the northwest with offshore winds from the east. The break offers both left and right-hand waves and tends to perform best around high tide as it’s rising. It is rarely crowded, even when the surf is good. Hazards include sharks, sea urchins, rip currents, and rocks. The most consistent clean surf is usually found in winter, especially during January.
