POOR
Poor conditions right now. Tiny waves under 1ft with quality 12s ground swell but strong 15kt winds making it choppy Note: winds from NE would be better. Might want to wait for better conditions.

📍 Local Knowledge

Jalama in Santa Barbara is an exposed beach break that works year-round and offers reliable surf from both local windswells and distant groundswells, with the best swell direction coming from the southwest. It performs best with offshore winds from the northeast and around high tide, producing both left and right-hand peaks. The most favorable surf conditions are during Autumn, particularly in February, when clean, rideable waves are more consistent. Jalama is a fairly popular spot and can get crowded at times; surfers should be cautious of strong rips.
