Current Conditions

POOR
Poor conditions right now. Tiny waves under 1ft with quality 12s ground swell but strong 15kt winds making it choppy Note: winds from ENE would be better. Might want to wait for better conditions.

📍 Local Knowledge

Crescent Bay in Orange County is a moderately exposed beach and reef break with fairly consistent surf. It works best with groundswells from the south-southwest and offshore winds from the east-northeast, with some protection from west-northwest winds. The beach break offers both left and right-handers and performs well across all tide stages. While winter—particularly January—provides the cleanest, most consistent conditions, summer can also offer favorable surf. Crowds are common when the waves are good, and surfers should watch out for strong rips.
