📍 Local Knowledge

Campus Point in Santa Barbara is a fairly exposed point break with fairly consistent surf year-round. It receives more groundswells than windswells, favoring an ideal swell direction from the west. The spot works best around low tide and can get crowded when the surf is up. Surfers should watch out for rips and rocks. The best conditions happen when a west swell combines with offshore winds from the northwest. Winter is the prime season for clean, rideable waves here, especially in February.
