📍 Local Knowledge

Camel Rock in Humboldt County is a fairly exposed beach break with reliable surf, especially during winter. It performs best with groundswells from the west-northwest combined with offshore winds from the east. The break offers both left and right-hand waves, with the best conditions typically around low tide. Camel Rock is a fairly popular spot and can get crowded at times. Surfers should watch out for rocks and sharks. The most consistent clean waves are usually found in winter, particularly in January.
