📍 Local Knowledge

C Street in Ventura County is an exposed reef and point break over a mixed sand and rock bottom, offering consistent surf—best conditions typically arrive in winter and early spring. Offshore winds from the northeast groom west, northwest and southwest swells, producing long right-hand waves and occasional lefts that run along the point, adding variety. The spot works across all tide stages, though low to mid tide often delivers the cleanest shape, and it can get crowded on good days. Surfers should watch out for submerged boulders, kelp patches, and strong currents. The most consistent clean waves occur in winter—especially January and February—with strong surf continuing into March.
