πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Big Rock in San Diego County is an exposed reef break with fairly consistent surf, working well year-round. The ideal conditions occur with west swells and offshore winds from the east. While the break is best around mid tide, the most consistent clean waves are typically found in winter, especially in January. It offers a left-hand reef break and is often crowded when it’s working. Surfers should be cautious of rocks and localism.
