📍 Local Knowledge

Anderson Street in Orange County is a sheltered sandbar break with reasonably consistent surf, best during winter. The spot works well with offshore winds from the northeast and groundswells from the southwest. It can get crowded when conditions align. Pollution is a known hazard. The best surf occurs when a southwest swell meets northeast offshore winds. Although winter is the peak season, October in autumn sees the most consistent clean waves, with over half the time offering rideable conditions and only a small percentage too small for most surfers.
