📍 Local Knowledge
Jordan River on Vancouver Island is a fairly exposed reef and point break known for its reasonably consistent surf across all tide stages. It picks up both wind and groundswells, with the ideal swell direction from the west. The best conditions occur with offshore winds from the north-northeast, producing clean waves suitable for various skill levels. The break can sometimes get crowded, so surfers should exercise extra caution when the lineup is busy. The most consistent clean surf is typically found in autumn, especially during October.
