📍 Local Knowledge

Tregastel Plage in Brittany is a fairly exposed beach break that only works occasionally, with summer months in particular being frequently flat. It performs best with a west swell and offshore winds from the southeast, receiving an equal mix of local windswells and distant groundswells. The spot provides both left and right-handers and is best surfed around high tide. While it offers a quiet alternative to more popular spots, surfers should remain cautious as rocks are a known hazard. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the winter, particularly in February.
