Pors Carn in Brittany is a reasonably exposed beach and reef break that has inconsistent surf. Summer in particular tends to be flat. Offshore winds blow from the southwest. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure. The beach break provides left and right handers. The best conditions reported for surf at Pors Carn occur when a West swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the Southwest. The best time of year for surfing Pors Carn with consistent clean waves (rideable swell with light / offshore winds) is during Winter and most often the month of December.
