Pentrez Plage in Finistere, Brittany, is a sheltered beach break with inconsistent surf, particularly during the summer when it tends to be flat. It performs best with a west swell and offshore winds from the northeast, offering some shelter from northwest winds. The spot produces both left and right-handers and is best around high tide when the tide is rising. While crowds are rarely an issue even on good days, surfers should be extremely cautious of strong rips. The most consistent clean waves typically occur in winter, particularly in February.
