Le Riz in Brittany is a fairly exposed beach break with fairly consistent surf, though it is often flat during the summer months. It performs best with a west-southwest groundswell and offshore winds from the east-southeast, offering some protection from southwest winds. The beach produces both left and right-handers, with the most consistent clean waves typically occurring in winter, particularly in February. While crowds are rarely an issue even on good days, surfers should be mindful of rocks in the lineup.
