📍 Local Knowledge

Baie des Trepasses in Brittany is a fairly exposed beach break with quite reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. It works best with a southwest swell and offshore winds from the southeast, receiving an equal mix of groundswells and windswells. The spot provides both left and right-handers, performing best around low tide when the tide is rising. While it is rarely crowded, surfers must be wary of dangerous rips. The most consistent clean waves typically occur in winter, particularly in February.
