Audierne in Brittany is a quite exposed reef break with quite reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. It works best with a southwest groundswell and offshore winds from the north, providing good surf at all stages of the tide. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells, and the most consistent clean waves typically occur in winter, particularly in February. Surfers should be mindful of both rocks and potential crowds.
