📍 Local Knowledge

Anse de Lesconil in Brittany is a fairly exposed reef break that has quite consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Offshore winds are from the northwest. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the west southwest. Both left (best) and right reef breaks. Watch out for rocks. The best conditions reported for surf at Anse de Lesconil occur when a West-southwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the Northwest. The best time of year for surfing Anse de Lesconil with consistent clean waves (rideable swell with light / offshore winds) is during Winter and most often the month of February.
