Rauls is an exposed reef break that offers fun, often uncrowded waves that can work on a variety of tides and swell conditions, with both right and left peeling sections over the reef. The surf tends to range from small to thigh-to-waist high in lighter conditions, with better shape when longer, stronger swells are present, and lighter wind windows giving the cleanest faces. While the break isn’t usually powerful compared to nearby spots, its relaxed vibe and quieter lineup make it a good choice for surfers looking to escape crowds, though riders should be mindful of urchins, rocks, and the shallow reef hazards.
