πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Punta San Carlos in Baja Norte is an exposed reef and point break that has reasonably consistent surf, with summer offering the optimum conditions for surfing. The best conditions occur when a Southwest groundswell combines with an offshore wind direction from the Northeast. The location features both left and right-hand reef breaks, though the right is considered superior. It very rarely gets crowded here, but surfers should be mindful of hazards including urchins and rocks. The best time of year for surfing Punta San Carlos with consistent, clean waves is during autumn, particularly the month of October.
