πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Playa Elefante (Isla Cedros) in Baja Norte is an exposed beach break that has quite reliable surf, with winter offering the best overall conditions. The best conditions occur when a West groundswell combines with an offshore wind direction from the Southeast. The beach break provides both left and right-hand waves and very rarely gets crowded. However, surfers should be mindful of hazards including rips, sharks, and rocks. The best time of year for surfing Playa Elefante with consistent, clean waves is during the winter, particularly the month of January.
