📍 Local Knowledge

San Jorge in Baja Sur is an exposed beach break that delivers reasonably consistent surf, mainly fueled by groundswells with the ideal swell direction coming from the southwest. The beach offers both left- and right-hand waves and works best with offshore winds blowing from the east–northeast. The best conditions are reported when a southwest swell combines with an offshore east–northeast wind, producing clean, rideable waves. The spot is unlikely to be crowded even when the surf is up, but surfers should stay alert for hazards such as strong rips and the presence of sharks, with the most consistent clean surf typically occurring in winter, particularly in November.
