Poor conditions right now. Tiny waves under 1ft with quality 11s ground swell but strong 16kt winds making it choppy Note: winds from NNE would be better. Might want to wait for better conditions.

📍 Local Knowledge

Punta Santo Domingo in Baja Sur is an exposed beach and reef break that produces unreliable surf, with summer generally offering the most favorable conditions. The break is primarily driven by groundswells, with the ideal swell direction coming from the south and offshore winds best from the north–northeast. The best conditions are reported when a south swell combines with an offshore north–northeast wind, creating the cleanest and most rideable waves. The area is rarely crowded even when waves are present, but surfers should be mindful of hazards including strong rips, sharks, and the remote, isolated nature of the location, with the most consistent clean surf typically occurring in spring, particularly around October.
