Punta Abreojos in Baja Sur is an exposed point break known for its consistent surf, with summer offering the best overall conditions. The break is fueled by distant groundswells, with the ideal swell direction coming from the south–southwest and clean wave faces shaped by offshore winds from the north–northwest. The best conditions are reported when a south–southwest swell combines with a north–northwest offshore wind, delivering smooth, rideable waves. The spot is rarely crowded, but surfers should be mindful of hazards such as strong rips and the presence of sharks, with the most consistent clean surf typically occurring in spring, particularly in May.
