πŸ“ Local Knowledge

La Laguna in Baja Sur is an exposed beach break that delivers fairly consistent surf, offering both left- and right-hand waves shaped by clean groundswells. While summer provides the optimum overall conditions, the ideal swell direction is from the southwest, paired with offshore winds from the northeast. The best conditions reported for La Laguna occur when a southwest swell combines with a northeast offshore wind, producing clean, well-formed waves. The spot is very rarely crowded, but surfers should be cautious of rocky sections and the presence of sharks, with the most consistent clean surf typically occurring during winter, especially in January.
