Frailes South

Frailes South in Baja Sur is a fairly exposed beach and reef break with fairly consistent surf, best during autumn and winter. The break receives distant groundswells from the southeast and works best with offshore winds from the west–northwest, with some shelter from north winds. It offers both left- and right-hand waves on the beach break and is rarely crowded. Surfers should be cautious of sharks. The best conditions occur when a southeast swell combines with a west–northwest offshore wind, with the most reliable clean, rideable waves typically found in summer, especially in July.
